Agreed. MSFT won't disappoint, sales Europe good, Greg M. said they were comfi with EPS est., Win98 sales good, etc. After Dell exceeded EPS in Aug. you knew MSFT earnings would be good.

I was dubious about Sun's Java Chip production but not the potential for Java chips. Am hoping Java becomes programming standard for Chips(i.e. MCUs, etc.) and Sun passes the (chip)ball to National Semi, Motorola, etc. With a coordinated effort from Sun it could be impressive.

Sun had ambitious plans, it's disappointing they didn't work out, but as the article said these chips for commercial use, as originally proposed by Sun, have to be dirt chip.

Msft's phone with its voice recognition sounds pretty cool. You need a PC for it apparently so how much market share it obtains is questionable.

UK will cut interest rates SOON. Germany may be next after that. IMHO this oversold condition for MSFT is to wipe out the OCT Call options so MMs can make a lot more money on MSFT.
