What a dog this stock has been. A shame too, inasmuch as many companies will end up discovering in January, 2000, that they did not correctly understand the full interconnectedness of the many systems they had on their plate for Y2K assessment and repair. If only more companies would have used Think 2000, many pending disasters would have been avoided.
The company is still trying to make a go of it. Here's the latest news:
------------------ We are pleased to announce a new strategic alliance between Thinking Tools and Viasoft for worldwide distribution of Think 2000, our business risk assessment and management software solution. As a result of this relationship, Viasoft will market, promote, license and distribute Think 2000 under its current product name, in addition to adding Think 2000 to its consulting capabilities. For your convenience, I've included the press release below; if you would like more information about Viasoft, please visit their website at viasoft.com.
The latest press coverage of Think 2000 includes an article in the October issue of CONTINGENCIES, entitled "The Technological Catastrophe - What Should We Fix First? Assessing the Y2K Risk" by Joan Hartnett-Barry.
There's also an article in the September issue of BeyondComputing magazine by Mary Ryan Garcia, entitled "Coping With the Staffing Shortage" which you can find at beyondcomputingmag.com
