Canada Stockwatch releases last week's News this evening

Yes - 'old' News from last week, but released this evening (8:03 PM) via Canada Stockwatch's list server - all subscribers will get a copy (pasted below). At least Stockwatch get Napier's web address correct - unlike the Business in Vancouver article:

I just love this part:

"Negotiations for global distribution are ongoing but Aelicks hopes to have stock on shelves around the globe by the end of the calendar year."

If you want to subscribe to the list send an e-mail to: list@canada-stockwatch.com

Once subscribed you'll get a bunch of e-mails during the week on various companies in the News (http://www.canada-stockwatch.com).

Has anyone heard what's going on with Aquasol lately?

David.

The following is an excerpt from Business in Vancouver, September 29 - October 5, 1998. In its annual listing of "B.C.'s 50 Top - performing stocks," compiled by Deloitte and Touche, Napier ranked number 1.

Paint-stripper manufacturer strikes lucrative deals

Napier International Technologies Inc.

Napier's story is a simple one: the development and sales of paint stripping and wood coating chemicals and cleaners, including SV-35 stripper, which the company claims is non-toxic, non-hazardous and biodegradable. The stock first showed some life in September of 1997, soon after the company announced its flagship product - SV-35 - had met manufacturer's specifications for paint strippers set by Boeing.

"That's what started the momentum for us", says president Brad Aelicks. After getting feedback from the industry that December, the product was reformulated to be even stronger. The next market driver was the April announcement that Napier was entering into formal talks with ICI Canada Inc. - which controls the Glidden and Dulux paint brands - to discuss a private label distribution deal for Napier's stripper. That agreement was inked this August and Aelicks expects the first product to hit the shelves in some 167 retail outlets by the end of October. Negotiations for global distribution are ongoing but Aelicks hopes to have stock on shelves around the globe by the end of the calendar year.

Also in August, the company announced it had a manufacturing and packaging deal with K-G Packaging, a division of CCL Industries, which includes packaging SV-35 in spray cans for the home market.
