And the extent to which they embrace it will depend upon how many customers are perceived to want it. I don't believe that the big computer makers will be put off by the fact that Sony invented HiFD. Meanwhile, yes, almost every computer ships with a floppy drive, and the floppy drive was invented by Sony. But there are several different companies making floppy drives today, including TEAC, Toshiba and Mitsumi. - Allen
