I'm still fairly new to investing(3 years) and even newer to computing(6 months). Current cpq holdings are 300 @ 3l 3/4 and l200 @3l 7/l6. I have been a lurker on this thread since May, having bought my computer and stock both in April. I've found this thread extremely helpful. Never would have found links to afterhours, globex, stocksplits and whispers on my own. Now that I am a little more comfortable with the computer I decided to join SI so I could pick the brains of people who have forgotten more about cpq than I will ever learn. Which brings me to my first question. How reliable iswww.whisper.com? Concensus for Q3 is .06. Their whisper is .03. Could this be why the recent slide has been so severe or will analysts look past Q3 if they miss their number knowing that the Dec acquistion will add to Q4 earnings? Thanks in advance and please feel free to point out any mistakes I make. Computer language and symbols are still pretty foreign to me.
