I've been away now for few days - back in the mountains on the German-Chech border. We made another 50 miles of the trail and reached the austrian border. I wanted to persevere for another 10/15 miles, but my fellow traveller chickened out - I forgot the passport (g). There's a British work artist by the name of Hamish Gordon. His works of art are this kind of ... walks. He started with the Canterbury tale trail, crisscrossed Britain, went from Aix-le-Chapelle to Viena, then Himalayas...By now he has probably an opus of probably 1000+ miles...(it's actually a family business now, like Mester Rubens had it back in those good ol' times in Antwerpen g)

I saw Gordon's exposition the first time in the national gallery in Ottawa and the thing just hit me in the plexus. A repeat knock-out here in Munich few years ago - in the same gallery where I chanced upon Composition IX by Kandinsky some time later...

Boy, you gotta carry that weight (as the Beatles informed us). We are the champions, Steve.

Greetings from grey Germany to both.

PS: there's a monster rally going on right now in Tokyo. They're crazy, dont they know I have Nikkei Puts ?!....
