"Not the buyout I was looking for a day after entry but good news anyway."
I'd still keep a tight stop loss order in. If we break 17, you might see 15 in a hurry.

I didn't end up buying anything yesterday. Had my finger on the buttons, but when faced with selling gold to buy WinStar, I decided gold was the safer bet. IMO only reason to buy WinStar (or most any stock for that matter) now is just to gamble on good numbers release.

This market is crazy. Dollar collapsing. Japan going down hurts us, Japan going up hurts us. I don't really see anything globally that can save the market. Wonder what the answer is.

The WallStreet wizards are still projecting an earnings growth rate of 19% for 1999. Anybody want to take the bet that we don't see any where near that? They've cut this quarter umpteen times (I think they started around 15% growth) down to -2.3%. But still +19% for next year. Maybe that's why the analysts can be bullish and Abey J Cohen can say the market is undervalued. I see zero growth and it doesn't look undervalued to me.
