Sean, I have done something that I'd like your take on. On my 8.4GB HD, using Win NT 4.0, I have tried to use the concept of having the pagefile on another drive, by doing the following: Knowing the HD has four platters of 2.1GB each, I placed the 500MB main pagefile at the end of the fourth platter, so that it would use a different set of read/write heads from those being used by the system during normal operations. (That last platter is empty, except for the page file) As Win NT requires, I had to leave a 2MB pagefile in the root. Have I accomplished what is a good idea when using multiple drives, by using the same concept with regards to the platters within ONE hard drive? It makes logical sense to me, such that it were, but I'd like your more expert confirmation (or refutation, if applicable). Thanks Len
