Len,

I had an eye opening experience this morning. The last few days I have been concerned about the confidence levels dropping on these new nets. I don't know what made me do it, but I opened some of my old 40 neuron nets that I still had stored, that had been set up the old way, that I hadn't looked at for the last two months or so. You know, the ones that have nearly every influence checked based on whatever data was available for every input. When I looked at the charts I was surprised to see that these nets have handled the latest volatility in the market much better. And when I hit Predict the confidence levels were between 70 and 82 percent, and this was without any training being done on the latest data. Apparently, there are a lot of patterns in all of the extra input data, that is processed in these nets, that enables Neuro to better handle this type of market. Trying to cut down training time by eliminating or restricting the amount of price and volume data may be a mistake.
