Maurice, I enjoy your contributions and wit.

Your exuberance does not seem irrational to me, tho that MSFT + IBM comparison might be a wee bit manic. :-).

You went on to say:

<< It is not even absurd to think of Eudora as becoming a significant competitor to Microsoft. Email is like talking and listening. Personal and person to person.>>

I have understood how OmniTracs, Globalstar, and CDMA-based personal communications were a portfolio of businesses that fit and complemented each other. Yet I have struggled to make the Eudora business click into place among the others. The broad overlapping of voice and text/data communications is there, but is there a practical way for QCOM to capitalize on Eudora? To provide some linkage from wireless to text and back?

I haven't become aware of much comment from QCOM as to strategic plans for the Eudora line. Would appreciate any insights, links, or pure speculation you might have to share.

Best wishes for a prosperous '97 to you and all QCOM readers,

Brian
