Looks like Hutchinson is extending the horizon for their subscribers.

HK's Hutchison Telecom signs CDMA roaming pacts

HONG KONG, Dec 27 (Reuter) - Hutchison Telecom said on Friday it had signed CDMA (code division multiple access)
roaming agreements with two Canadian and two U.S. firms and will provide Automatic Roaming Service in four North
American cities.

In a statement, Hutchison said it had recently signed the agreements with Canada's BC Tel BCT.TO and Bell Mobility
BCE.TO as well as Airtouch Communications Inc and Bell Atlantic Corp ( Nynex Corp ) of the United States.

It gave no details of the agreements.

Hutchsion also said it would provide Automatic Roaming Service in the Canadian cities of Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal
and the U.S. city of Seattle.

Subscribers in Hong Kong could keep their existing mobile phone numbers when travelling to the four cities, it said.

Does this mean that CDMA is functional or imminent in all these cities?
