Re: Way Back Machine
Yes, I feel as though we all panned for gold together and then had to wait for the world to know what it was.
Like Gold, ADSL is a precious commodity, so are great companies like Texas Instruments.
Looking back I feel like a 49er, Panning for ADSL information in the days when there were no articles, editorials, etc. about ADSL, striking Nuggets, in places like Korea, Australia.
I phoned PacBell yesterday to see when I could get ADSL here in Del Mar, and the guy said to call back at the end of the month. They hadn't been told which neighborhoods yet. I'll be able to get 1.5Mbps for $79 a month.
Glad to hear your getting a Warm Fuzzy from PacBell. $79 for T1 speed is not to bad. Hope you get positive feedback at the end o the month.
A much better story than I'm getting:

It took them 4 months to send me a reply, Lord only knows how long it will take them to get me my DMT!
BTW, Moneypenny only appears to be in retirement. :)
People with the Heart, Mind, and Passion such as MoneyPenny do not Retire, they only take extended vacations.
Warmest Regards, James |
