Just today wonder how much money has beeen vaporized by powerful yen rise and bond sellout 0/t search.news.yahoo.com an easy way of tracking layoffs on superficial level I admit is to keep on checking this link..but I don't think you want to be bothered.. look at all the brokerages bleeding and now capping lunches etc and probably getting rid of brokers etc..watch high retail and expensive restaurants getting hurt etc hmos getting out of taking care of elderly..drug costs too expensive etc..so also watch drug companies.. all the mergers..reducing workers etc.. look at consumer confidence going down which will add to slower spending and reduction of jobs look at meltdown in nasdaq in the high tech arena..portends more cuts in high tech look at the internet "stores" cutting into more noncyberspace jobs.. Japan probably won't recover for another two or so years..the engine there will be very slow I am looking at a trend..have no idea what Greenspan has been looking at..possibly a mirror?
