A little more on the "channel stuffing" issue. 13:28 ET Compaq Computer (CPQ) 26 3/8 -1/8 (0.5%): Lehman
Brothers says reports of channel stuffing by CPQ have caused
weakness in the stock over the past two days. Firm says its checks
indicate that the fears are unwarranted. While does not believe
"channel stuffing" occurred, says company did ship some additional
product to help channel partners meet goals. Lehman says product
not subjected to any extended terms or abnormal price protection
measures.
