This DD was rough and dirty but I found some numbers that looked good - average book value around $1, almost no cash, little or no earnings, short interest less than 10% of the float and floats ranging from 4.7 million to 10 million.

In the end I shorted ENER, MCAR and MVIS from your list then added recent IPO's ACTU and IMGK. Also shorted ATEN late in the day; take a look at that one for real debt problems.

Unfortunately my shorts only partially offset the long losses on paper. Lots of quality companies getting killed right now.
