John:

Panorama seems to be continuing to firm, and I expect to see the
stock continue to perform in 1997. The entire area of base metals
(copper, cobalt, nickel) appears very interesting. David Williamson
(London) who writes a respected metals/mining newsletter, has
concluded that we are in the beginning of a major bull market
in these metals, as well as the precious metals. His main thesis
is that a number of the Asian countries are in a great growth phase
and since the per capita utilization of copper, for example,
compared to developed countries (e.g. USA) is much lower, that
demand for these metals will continue to increase dramatically,
eclipsing the supply side of the equation.
This should bode well for the exploration companies focused on
polymetallic discoveries.
