John and Thread, <off topic> A small correction: The Watts Riots occurred in August 1965, not 1968. Historians have proclaimed 1968 to be at the top retrospectively for momentous and world-changing events. This was discussed a while back on the Boomer thread, now in the SI Archives. Holly
