I have gone back and read one of Jack's posts. There was a gap, according to his definition. Difference between "ask at open and last day's closing trade".

It was a blunder on my part-----too much focus on the ask. I was trying to get out of my position from previous night. I saw the ask at open on 136 5/8 and saw it rapidly moving/trending up on opening MO. Greed took over and I refused to sell,------- until, it turned around and came down.

Had I followed more closely and saw that the opening was gapped I would have immediately sold and made 5/8 profit, istead of a 1/8 loss.

well-----guess you win some / lose some.
