When I first read the announcement I almost gagged but maybe this is a good business move. On the down side they're buying a company whose sales have been declining and is piling up losses, however, as you point out they have alot of cash 22.5 million as of June 1998 and there will obviously be an opportunity to reduce the Red Brick head count due to duplication. As I see it now I'm not sure that an acquisition for a reported 35 million in stock given all this is such a bad move. We'll see what the market thinks. There is an open letter to Red Brick shareholders on their Web Site redbrick.com
