I have read the release and am still sceptical about provisioning of the 800 service. Can anyone answer the questions about charges vs. service??!! Please !!!!
There is no way, NO WAY !!! that Aol and Prodigy didn't think of this years ago. If you think that people are going to spend $30.00 a month on internet service when the going rate is about $11.00 -13.00 a mo. then you all are sadly mistaking.
The answers are not as easy as some might perceive. I proposed several weeks ago a legitimate use of exisiting infrastructure with local (band 1 ) LATA service to closest Gridnet sites for 800 service. This option was never addressed in this forum. The idea that people are going to spend as much as their CATV bill per month on internet service is, to say the least, ridiculous.

FTEL's future is NOT FNET !!!! GET REAL ! If it were then he big boys would have found ways to do this years ago. FTEL IMOH has a brilliant position in the Telecom game and is why I'm heavly loaded (with no intentions of changing) long term. I'm sick and tired of people being flamed on this thread for posting opposing thoughts than what is the Co. Line da jour.

WAKE UP !!! It's YOUR MONEY !!!!!!

I appreciate all the work that goes into this thread and support the work of all. But I feel it is the duty OF ALL to be objective when faced with move by the Co. that will inevidibly affect us all.

Thank You,
Dan Spada
