Stock traded 20 mil shares today. How much can they be buying to make a difference? Alex, "Since initiation of the program, Intel has repurchased 235.4 million shares." Here is the Intel press release: intel.com The real significance of a stock repurchase is that the stocks are removed from circulation, thereby decreasing the supply (and increasing the value) of the remaining stock.
