Someone on CNBC today said there is still more "selling pressure" in the market than "buying pressure". Until this changes, stocks could drift lower and there will be no hurry to cover shorts. We're in a market that we haven't seen the likes of since probably '73-74. The scarey thing is that the average age of portfolio managers today is 28. They weren't in the market in the 70's, as most of today's investors weren't. This is going to be tough for a lot of people who are only used to "buying the dips" and having the market bounce back.
