Wed 7 Oct 98 News Release
Mr. David McDonald reports
Dianor Resources Inc. has acquired four mining properties and one mining
exploration permit in the James Bay area, Quebec, for a total surface area
of 2,400 hectares and 5,059 hectares respectively. These properties were
acquired from Ressources Aurter Inc. against the issue of 500 000 shares of
Dianor Resources Inc. and the payment of $30,000. This transaction modifies
the terms and broadens the scope of a previous agreement between Dianor
Resources and Ressources Aurter which was disclosed publicly by Dianor
Resources in Stockwatch June 4, 1998.
Recent exploration work highlighted the mineral potential of the greenstone
belts in this region. The bedrock consists mostly of mafic volcanics and
gneisses with interdigitations of iron formations and quartzite. These
geological formations are affected by numerous deformation zones. Moreover,
the road access facilitates logistics and reduces the overall exploration
costs.
Dianor has also completed a private placement of 1,000,000 units, each
comprised of one share and one warrant for $150,000. Each warrant entitles
its holder to acquire one share at 20 cents for 24 months.
