There has been a great deal of excitement surrounding our October profile. Our research team continues to hear fantastic news from company management and SOTM staff has been heard saying "our best monthly selection ever!" We believe this company is managing an idea that will literally make it explode with revenue. SOTM proudly announces Generation Entertainment Corporation as our October profile. (OTC:BB GNEN)
Generation Entertainment is a recently formed full service music company. This hot new company with its recent acquisitions is prepared to virtually explode into the entertainment business. The most prominent acquisition is William "Bill" Craig. A veteran to the entertainment industry and a world renowned music promoter, Bill Craig possesses the fire that finds "hit" talent and promotes them to the top of the charts. Michael Jackson, Barbara Streisand, M.C. Hammer, Sade, Herbie Hancock, and the Pointer Sisters are just a handful of the talent Bill Craig has discovered and promoted. He has spent several years managing his own labels: Copper Sun and Harvest Music. In attempts to broaden these labels, Bill sold his assets to Generation Entertainment in exchange for stock. With the capabilities to increase capital resources in the public market, Bill Craig is ready to dominate the music industry.
Generation Entertainment acquired their second most valuable resource through Bill's extensive experience in the industry. This resource is their three national distribution contracts which are the three agreements that will put CDs into stores. Once a CD is recorded there is a tremendous burden and large risk factor in selling CDs to retailers. With these three distribution contracts GNEN has the leverage to move large volumes of CDs to the distributor who in turn sells to retail outlets. Distribution is part of Generation Entertainment's company defined three-step process. The first step is to play selected tracks through secondary stations that play into dense populations and to the appropriate demographic. This is referred to as "building noise." As noise is created, the exposed population is increased. During this time Bill works with the distribution side, and he begins to release the CDs.
The companies involved with these distribution contracts are M.S. Distribution in Chicago, PPI (Peter Pan) of New Jersey, and EMD, which is part of Capital Records. Bill has worked extensively with these companies in the past, and they know his eye for talent. Very few independent labels have been able to obtain distribution contracts. The fact that these two independent labels, Copper Sun and Harvest Music, possess these distribution agreements speaks for Bill's clout in the entertainment industry. With the distribution infrastructure in place and all channels for product release open, GNEN is a rocket waiting to launch.
The third element that will lead to GNEN's success is their artistic talent. Again, Bill is behind the wheel carefully working with raw talent and using his experience and gifted eye to screen artists who have the ability to become stars. Currently GNEN has agreements with over 18 artists, and at this time the music industry is spotting the light from a rising new star. Lavondra is a new female R&B singer who has moved to #1 on the billboard Bubbling Under chart with her fresh new songs and lyrics. Other artists in GNEN's mix include The Chi-Lites, Analysis, Evil Minds, and Vince Andrews.
So how does this break down into corporate performance and shareholder value? Revenue will present itself in three forms. The primary source comes from distribution. The wholesale rate sold to distributors is $7.75 per CD. The distributors incur all costs associated with the delivery of CD's, and subcontractors with whom GNEN has already established agreements will handle the cost of manufacturing. Another avenue for revenue is Promotion. As GNEN expands its staff, other independent labels will contract GNEN for distribution. Promoting fees of this sort typically range from $75,000 to $100,000 per single release. The third source of revenue is publishing and licensing. Radio stations must pay for the right to play an artist's song, and companies will pay to use these songs in advertisements. The major source of revenue will be the $7.75 per CD.
SOTM believes that GNEN will accomplish the objectives of finding, developing, and promoting talent which will result in the achievement of the "Gold" status. For an album to go "Gold" 500,000 copies must be sold. Keep in mind that under Bill Craig's promotional team, M.C. Hammer's first album sold 19 million copies. Furthermore, Bill's track record proves that he has led many, many more artists to this status. GNEN has their pieces in position, and they are beginning to execute their carefully planned strategy. GNEN is currently working on some very exciting new contracts and is finalizing deals that will solidify their position in the industry. We anticipate GNEN will continue to release positive news and that future events will dramatically increase shareholder value. Keep yours eyes open for this hot new company and the exciting news to come!
