I hurriedly fashioned a reply to you, thinking you were saying developers, not users, would initially shun Merced because it will be the first of a very major new architecture. Hurriedly, because I wanted to catch the end of the Yankee game and the beginning of the Braves game at home. Did former, latter much delayed by rain.

Still, IT managers will want to get their software up on Merced systems, like I said, for debug and measurement purposes. They'll undoubtedly keep older systems around to run production, until they think that the new servers are ready. Then, look out.
