Here's an amateur question, but I have never made this much money on a short.

I shorted PVN at $60.3125. I only bought 700 shares.

However, I still want to short it, but if I want to buy more shares with the money I have made on the short already. Do I have to cover and reshort? I hope I'm explaining this right. What I want to do is accumulate more shares for the drop downward, but I want to do that with the money I have made on this very short. If I cover I will be able to short 1000 shares and not only have 700 shares.

However, if I cover, I may not be able to enter back into a short position.

What are my options?
