Why would getting WHQL certification be so difficult? Joe C.

It is in Microsoft's best interest to delay certification as long as possible. Complete elimination of DX competition is one of their goals. They already sucked up OpenGL (Farenheit), now the only thing left is Glide.

Of course Microsoft will have plenty of good technical reasons for the delay. Let's just say fairness isn't one of their strong points.
