Trey, I was at the shareholder's meeting and they never used the word black out period. The concept you have been incorrectly alluding to is lock out or lock up period where the executives of the firm are not allowed to buy stock in the company. A black out period is the period prior to earnings when executives can make no comments indicating what the earnings of the stock may be.

All of us who have invested in Westell are very disappointed in the stock performance, but unlike you I do not blame Westell. I was very impressed by the quality of the products I saw when I went to Aurora and proud to be a part of a company that is creating such quality and innovative products. I believe in the long run that is what will determine the value of this company. If their products sell, and earning rise rapidly, the whole aura of ADSL will suddenly change and Westell will change. Wall Street wants to see the beef.

It was only three months ago when I was hearing talk about a Dow as high as 15000, now in October the numbers go as low as 4000+. Market sentiment can be swift and unexpected. The negative sentiment has now gone past ADSL to embrace anything that is technology. Cisco was about 43 today. Last week it was over 65.

Westell is making good products and is a leader in a technology that many are anxious to have. The transformation ADSL will make in society is still underestimated. I predict they will eventually do very well if the world does not come to an end first.

All the best,
Michael
