All,
It's not just the USA internal stuff that is wrong, it's global.
Always having wondered when the 'we are the best, biggest, brightest' attitude of most USA people would stop, I feel that global-wide issues are getting more and more influence on local economies.
It is time that we all realize that no one (country, person, continent, company) can solve all this stuff on their own. Right now, we need cooperation on a more global scale, but there is hardly any because everybody is minding their own (silly, tragic, or otherwise) businesses.
Take for instance some of the growing political instability world-wide and the groups of people playing jokes or war onto each other:
- USA: president versus government - Russia: president versus government - Japan: banks and government - Indonesia: government versus people - China: government versus people - Germany: power-vacuum because of elections - Middle-east: dictators against the rest of the world - South-America: government versus drug industries - Africa: tribes killing each other - Balkan: many nationalistic people against each other - Europe: introduction of the Euro money system - World: Y2K - World: stocks that had 50% air
Hey - even with this short list, we are getting into some serious trouble here!
Maybe I see everything too negative (my girlfriend just left me), but all this stuff does not give a good feeling to me.
