AMMB..What can you think about a company gets downgraded after it is corrected to an absurd level before. What I can't figure is how the analysts had it as a strong buy even while it was going down. Now they look see it has tanked, decide to do a belated downgrade and the stock goes down even more. I would not mind holding a couple of thousand of this one but I would wait until the 10/21 and also make sure there are no legitimate law suits against AMMB.

10/6- Piper Jaffray $0.3 /share projected earnings 3rd qtr.
notes that there may be another write off related to AMMB's
residential residuals on balance sheet in 3rd or 4th qtr.

10/7 Raymond James -$.00/ share projected earnings 3rd qtr.
due to CMBS write offs. It notes that the 4th qtr is dependent
upon AMMB's ability to sell $2.5 B of loans it has on the
books($1.2-1.5B RMBS,$1.0B CMBS and $120M SBA
loans). RMBS and SBA should be easily sold but CMBS is
cloudy as the market has collapsed and there are few buyers.
10/7 Southwest Securities- $30M-$50M loss in CMBS
projected in 3rd qtr. Notes liquidity problem.
earnings due 10/21.
