CatLady,

If I'm seriously going to train the net, I use the maximum number of neurons. The only time that I use less is when I'm testing certain inputs to see how the net will train. Using less neurons saves time during the testing process, and once I'm satisfied with the setup of the inputs, I'll start retraining using the maximum.
