RH - You may well be right - I was reading Bill Murphy on Le Metrepole Cafe about the reported off market transaction whereby a central bank has covered LTCM's 350 ton short position - causing a lot of easier breathing amongst the monetary authorities. That apart, the steady rise in gold is better IMO than a quick surge. Hopefully yesterday's resistance will now become a base - $300? E
