The key point is that FILE said it took them by surprise. I think to breathe new life into this thread we should start talking about stocks to short because of Y2K related earnings declines. Then when Y2K becomes front page news and the sector (or what's left of it (g)) gets hot again (fingers crossed, knock on wood), perhaps we can feel more secure in Y2K stocks as a primary investment.
