Richard / Oxbow Exploration

I like Oxbow Exploration and am looking to buy a few shares if it drops back a little in price. The reason I like the company is their land position in SE Saskatchewan. I have recently been in conversation with the company and believe I reported some of the high points a couple weeks ago.

Energy trusts. For income bearing instruments, they are definite hot listings in the marketplace. These have also been reported on a few times. If I were to buy into an energy trust, I think I would tend to favor the ones in existance prior to 1996.

Energy trusts and producers are now competing with each other on a large scale basis. Land in many areas has become expensive because these funds are overbidding producers. On the other hand, I believe there have been instances where producers have given up acreage because of the premiums the funds are willing to pay. It's been a great means for companies to eliminate or reduce debt, as well as a means to support field activity.
