Your sharp words probably do little to promote input, but I'd like to make a few comments and ask a few questions anyway. After all this isn't meant to be personal and besides I have run a lemonade stand.

I am new to this thread and I have just read thru a couple months of it. My impression is that the CEO was under the gun to have an agreement by the end of the year, especially since that is what was promised in november that made the stock jump a couple of points. Well there was a lot of speculation then that it was seagate or wdc. Instead you get maxtor with very little real committment that i can see. No wonder the stock took a dip.

Now in reading the ceo's letter it seems to me that he may be attempting to place less emphasis on the inductive keepering technology. He mentions that they are trying to make keepering work with MR technology. He also mentions that they are not just a keepering company.

My first question: Does this indicate he is very concerned about inductive drives ever using his technology and he is trying to soften the blow?

My next question: If this technology is so good why can't he get a real committment? Is it that difficult to evaluate? Or is it that new? Or, and I am not a hard drive expert, could it mean inductive technology is not the future and/or keepering is not cost effective to the manufacturers?

Like I said I am new to this thread and am only trying to determine if this company is a good long term investment. Just trying to evaluate and I have no current position. Thanks,

Bruce
