<< Investors, Mr Maris says, are ignoring what he calls "innovation risk". Major pharmaceutical firms aren't standing still. So as Sepracor works on knock-offs, these companies could come up with a whole new product.>>

Is this guy serious ? May be DM should downgrade all major pharms too especially most of them derive their earnings from only a few blockbuster drugs. Why not downgrade SGP while he is at it, it derives >20 % of its earning from Claritin alone. Did DM spend 5 minutes checking out which of the SEPR patented drugs are at risk in the forseeable future or he is just opening his mouth ? It takes years to go through the clinical trials before any potential drug is marketed, Mr. Analyst. No, investors of SEPR are not ignoring what he calls "innovation risk". Investors like SEPR for precisely the reason that SEPR post much less risk because it is a multi-multi-trick pony.

Is DM protecting his clients ? How many of his clients are fast enough to dump SEPR mindlessly ? Downgrading for the stupid reason that the stock has appreciated from the price HE initiated the coverage is just absurd. The world does not revolve around you. Downgrading mindlessly in the middle of a bear market is like pouring gasoline on fire. The amounts to an abuse of his position and the reputation of Beer Stain. Dead Meat, you are fired !!
