Tonight's hotline should be interesting from a psychological point of view because if there was any doubt remaining that Dessauer has been dead wrong about the markets, it's certainly undeniable now. This week has not only been murderous to stocks in general, but it has been ruthless to his few remaining hold-out winners, like CCR. But, is he going to start with the "this is just plain silly" talk and say "plesae use this opportunity and accumulate more shares in our great companies" as he usually does? I'll admit that Dessauer is pretty good at rallying the troops, but this time he really has his work cut out for him. This is definitely the lowest, darkest moment, by far, in the years that I have been following him (since 93). Wouldn't you agree? So, it will be interesting to hear what he has to say. My prediction is that he doesn't change one note in the song, although his voice may sound a little hesitant and shaky. We'll see.
Also, did you notice the new box in the October issue with the subscriber information? It looks like he's got about 82,000 subscribers down from about 104,000. That is a lot of people either way. I was surprised that he has kept as many as he has. But a lot of subscribers are probably like me, disgusted with him, but are just going to let their subscriptions run out rather than ask for a refund. |
