IMO, the frightful thing about DELL is the leverage...

DELL's "sure thing" reputation has encouraged extreme margin, and I've read (heard) of folks using revolving debt and home equity to BUY DELL.

I also believe that DELL leverages stock buyback, option sales and splits to signficantly enhance earnings. Of course, the DELL advocate would insist that I prove such talk -- very difficult to do. But, I would not be surprised to see earnings fade if/when DELL stock trends down. (Here again, DELL advocates would insist that the market is predictive.) BWDIK
