Jay--thanks for the article. Where did it come from? I noticed that there was not one attribution among the "insiders" and "analysts" whom the author supposedly interviewed. Interestingly, despite the article's slash and burn innuendo approach, it recognizes that (a) Jordan hasn't reined in Mel (he'd better not!) and (b) Jordan doesn't disagree with the news cuts.

As for the other Mel actions, I'm sure that those long entrenched in the old way of doing business and who have been moved out disagree with the moves and are being vocal to their buddies in the media.

As for Stern, mostly the show is a stupid, clone rip-off of the E! Channel nightly program. I could only stand wasting my time with the CBS show for two nights (it's that bad), but from what I saw, at least the E! program occasionally has amusing bits and interviews. In my experience, Howard is better radio than he is television anyway.

Otherwise, ratings appear to be on the upswing.
