And when the Market was at 9,000, a correction of 500 points set a record for the most points dropped in 1 day. Big friggin' deal.
Welcome to reality. It's a place that most novice investors have never been.
If you invested your money at the turn of the Century and let it ride through everything - every crash, correction, World depression, recession, inflation, deflation, World war, assassination and every other form of financial mayhem, The US Stock Market would still afford you the greatest percentage of return on your original investment - BY FAR.
Where do you think 401Ks are going to be invested at the end of the year? Not in pillow cases and not in 4% (or less) bonds.
If you're Bill Gates and you lose 5 Billion in one week I'm sure that's a record too. I'm sure Bill's not happy, but I bet he isn't selling - or panicking.
I'm buyin' - and I'm bottom fishing on small caps - There's no call, so I don't have to cash in if the prices linger at these levels. The few smallcaps I've held on to have experienced similar level drops to FNTN in the last few days. The reversal will be just as dramatic - and it really doesn't matter when it happens. When I'm patient, I win. When I'm not, I lose. This has been my trading experience, almost without exception.
