Agree with you on small central government.. however I have many misgivings on how dramatically international companies have grown in power with shrinking local (American) concern or loyalty. They too favor small governments everywhere that don't disturb or regulate the terms of their playing field. Some of the disturbances we're seeing in currencies are by financial entities that have no home other than shifting world accounts. Its fine when they raid smaller countries, wait until they raid your back yard.
