We're in a nasty bear market right now, although I don't really consider this a bear market. To me a bear market is one that lasts over a year of contiually sliding prices. This one should be over fairly quickly. However, this is probably something never seen before by a lot of newer investors who thought MSFT and DELL and the like would not and could not ever come down. Hey, its great, just put your money in and it triples in a year. Valuations, what valuations.

Valuations, primarily due to index funds, have gotten way out of wack. Now that there is a pull back, we are having a lot of people panic out the doors. Could get alot worse before it gets better.

I like picking over the companies that have already been crushed like the chip stocks.
