As I understand (pretty certain) all Dell and CPQ need to include is a NIC (Ethernet card) which is then hooked up to the Westell modem. I also understand most (if not all) ADSL modems (at least Alacatel modem used by PacBell) is actually a DSL router allowing multiple connections.

What Dell and CPQ are adding is something that should be part of ALL computers these days anyway (IMO). They are NOT adding WSTL cards. The modem is a free-standing unit attached to the NIC. I do understand the all modems offerred by BA will be from WSTL.

As all modems offerred by PacBell in my area are Alacatel.
