Yikes! I can see why the longs are so defensive on this thread.

CMason - if the product fails then there will not be any cash left, so your numbers are questionable. They will be raising some cash from Ailouros, issuing more shares, and spending that cash. So we really can't tell from here. Unless you are planning to take over the company, I don't see why you would be willing to pay 5/8.

Lawerence - you mentioned you had a large position and were buying more. It seems to me that you might want to consider getting the same kind of deal as Ailouros. REFR needs the cash, so bailing out other longs or buying from short sellers rather than buying the shares directly from REFR does not seem as smart to me. If you have a networth greater than $1M then you are an accredited investor and can take part in a private transaction just like Ailouros. If I were you, I would try to get preferred shares with a fixed price a little below the current market price.
