I had some time to surf this weekend and came across another interesting article. This one was Presented by the Florida Society of Internal Medicine on Helicobacter Pylori: medpp.org

It states in part, "The therapeutic implications of early and aggressive eradication of H. Pylori are enormous. Eradication of H. Pylori not only can heal duodenal ulcer and prevent relapse, but also prevent the development of chronic disease which may even include cancer."

H.pylori's a bad bug, and not just for those with ulcers. The market for Quidel's test will be huge when it's recognized that H.pylori should be eliminated from everyone. Wouldn't it be nice to see the government focus as much attention on eradicating H.pylori as it does on trying to stop smoking? H.pylori's just not politically correct.
