Today's press release regarding Columbia Capitals third quarter earnings was a complete surprise!

The upside… Columbia Capital reported third quarter net income of $.06 per share. Total revenue for the nine months increased approximately 266% for the same period ending in 1997. Furthermore, credit card processing revenue increased 640% for the same time period. Hopefully, this will finally satisfy those “Doubting Thomas” types about this company's sound footing as well as the earnings growth trend which, according to Ken Klotz, CEO, will increase substantially. This is welcome news. Considering how the market has behaved this last couple of weeks.

It is obvious, in projecting earnings out to the fourth quarter, even at a flat $ .06 makes the EPS $ .20. Using a PE of 20 Columbia should be selling around $4.00. Considering what Columbia has on its plate this is at the low end of earning projections today is a ray of sunshine to say the least!
