To all, Two first third portfolio moves today. One I've been threatening for a long time and the other is a complete 180 degree turn on my part.

1. I bought Keane today while it was down. I did not get the bottom. I picked it up at $26. I still think the year 2000 will happen. <G> I've been huffing and puffing at this one since the mid 40s and finally made a muscle and took a swing.

2. I bought Mexico Fund today. Yes, I have long said bad stuff about Mexico and most of it is true. I think the country is bankrupt. But many of the companies are solvent and profitable. It really is not a change of heart as much as a change in price. I think the stocks, ex TelMex, are cheap and the fund has a deep discount. So, from now on, the only beers served at Casa de Burke are Corona and Two Exxes.

3. I still haven't figured out what happened with my CitiGroup puts. The broker who bought them for me was useless, my Japanese broker didn't know what I was talking about, and I couldn't reach anyone who knew anything.
Good Luck,

MB
