Just noticed in 12-27-96 WSJ that as of 12-13-96 there
is 302,510 short shares outstanding. This is an increase
of 287% from the month before (78,076). The average number
of shares traded each day is 362,224.
There are 13,804,432 share outstanding on Oct 30 ,1996.(sec)
Even though price has been coming down from high around 27,
it appears to be slow and gaps in price are hopefully being
filled. Any chartist have any opinions?
Once company can overcome physician's resistance to use
a better product (time period unknown), stock value will surely appreciate.
It would be interesting to see some lawsuits come out
that claim Cytyc's product should have been used to prevent
unnecessary testing and reduce anxiety of women who are
being tested with inferior methodology. It seems like
we should be hearing more from AMA ,WHO, and even
insurance companies mandating Thin-preps usage.
