Just noticed in 12-27-96 WSJ that as of 12-13-96 there

is 302,510 short shares outstanding. This is an increase

of 287% from the month before (78,076). The average number

of shares traded each day is 362,224.

There are 13,804,432 share outstanding on Oct 30 ,1996.(sec)

Even though price has been coming down from high around 27,

it appears to be slow and gaps in price are hopefully being

filled. Any chartist have any opinions?

Once company can overcome physician's resistance to use

a better product (time period unknown), stock value will

surely appreciate.

It would be interesting to see some lawsuits come out

that claim Cytyc's product should have been used to prevent

unnecessary testing and reduce anxiety of women who are

being tested with inferior methodology. It seems like

we should be hearing more from AMA ,WHO, and even

insurance companies mandating Thin-preps usage.

Long on cytyc Richard L.
