kory, here is a list of bankrupt companies that you aksed for (i had to ask others as i'm youthful too ;-)

2. continental illinois
3. a variety of railroad companies
4. mostek
5. mohawk data sciences
6. franklin nat'l
7. con ed
8. commodore int'l
9. naat'l business rental
10. wang
11. more to come - bookmarks on a different computer...

mike burke pointed out that if you look at a valueline from the 70s you'll notice almost 50% don't exist today - some were $100 back in the 60s and 70s.

in addition, many companies stay in business for long periods of time... with stock prices in the low single digits.

not every company... but enough to make serious ongoing analysis necessary.
