One thing for sure, Amazon never disappoints the thrill seeker. :) The implied volatility on October options is sky high at 126%. Probably better to be a seller than a buyer, but tough to pick a direction. Selling the Oct 85 straddle gives about a 13 point breakeven, with only about a week left to trade, but since AMZN has shown it can move 13 points in a single day, the high premiums don't give much consolation. The Nov. put/call ratios are highly skewed towards puts, which argues for a bounce pretty soon, just on a contrarian basis. Tons of open interest in Octoaber -- I'd expect continued valatilty going into next week, as some of those positions are unwound.
